Endive gratin with smoked salmon and lemon cream cheese

Wrap each cooked endive in a slice of smoked salmon. Arrange them side by side in a buttered gratin dish.

Generously coat with lemon cream, then sprinkle with grated cheese. For an even more golden finish, add a few small shavings of butter on top.

Oven baking

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the gratin for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and nicely browned.

Serving suggestions

Serve this gratin piping hot, accompanied for example by:

  • A crisp green salad with a light vinaigrette
  • Steamed potatoes or small sautéed fingerling potatoes
  • A dry white wine, such as a Pouilly-Fumé or a Chardonnay
