4 cups baby
potatoes (or 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced)
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 packet (30 g / 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
250 ml (1 cup) chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)👩 🍳 Step-by-step1️preparation ⃣ Cooking the bacon
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
Remove it with a slotted spoon and set it aside, leaving the cooking juices in the pan (this is what gives all the flavor 😉).
2️⃣ Sauté the herbs
Add the onion to the same pan and sauté for about 5 minutes, until soft and translucent.
Then add the minced garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute, until it smells good.
3️⃣ Cooking the potatoes
Add the diced potatoes.
Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring regularly, until they begin to brown slightly.
If the pan is too dry, add a little olive oil.
4️⃣ Added green beans
Stir the green beans into the pan.
Toss well to coat them with the bacon grease and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
5️⃣ Seasoning and simmering
Add ranch seasoning mix, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Pour in the chicken broth and mix gently.
