👩🍳 Method
1️⃣ Cook the Rice 🍚
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, 300ml water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until the rice is tender and fluffy.
- Once cooked, set the rice aside and keep warm.
2️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef 🥩
- In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and minced garlic. Cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking the beef apart as it cooks until browned and fully cooked through.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chili flakes (if using), and stir until the beef is well-coated and the sauce is absorbed. Remove from heat and set aside.
3️⃣ Stir-Fry the Vegetables 🥦🥒
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of sesame oil or olive oil.
- Add the mushrooms, red pepper, broccoli, and zucchini. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Stir in the remaining minced garlic and soy sauce, cooking for another minute until fragrant and the sauce has slightly reduced.
4️⃣ Assemble the Bowls 🍚
- In each bowl, layer the cooked rice, then top with the flavorful ground beef and stir-fried vegetables.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or coriander for a burst of color and freshness.
