Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage and cut it into thin slices.
Cut the onion into thin slices and finely chop the garlic.
2. Fry the onion and garlic
Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
Add the onions and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
Add the garlic and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the cabbage
Add the chopped cabbage.
Stir-fry the cabbage over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring regularly, until tender and lightly browned around the edges.
Tip: The longer you cook the cabbage, the more flavorful and lightly caramelized it will become.
4. Season to taste
Add salt, pepper, paprika powder and possibly a pinch of chili powder.
If desired, add vinegar or lemon juice at the end of cooking to enhance the flavors.
