Instructions
Cook the Cajun Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure proper searing. Rub each fillet lightly with olive oil, coating all sides evenly so the seasoning adheres well.
- Season the salmon generously with Cajun seasoning, paprika, and a light pinch of salt. Press the spices gently into the surface of the fish to form an even coating.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat until hot. Place the salmon fillets in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side. The exterior should develop a dark, lightly blackened crust while the interior becomes opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the heat and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving to brighten the bold Cajun flavors.
