Ingredients:

Potatoes, peeled and diced – 4 cups
Milk (whole milk is best) – 4 cups
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese – 2 cups
Butter – 2 tablespoons

Step 1: Cooking the potatoes.
Put the diced potatoes in a medium saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
